Der Frühling kommt und scheint mit ganzer Kraft in meine Wohnung - also war Frühlingsputz angesagt. Ein paar Impressionen von meiner Wohnung gefällig? Bitteschön!

Enjoy the ride

Enjoy the Ride is a Road Safety Council of Western Australia initiative, brought to you by the Office of Road Safety. Their aim is to show Western Australian drivers that there is an alternative to speeding -- on the road and in life. And it's a better way.

There is also a very nice illustrated book about it here

The Muppet proposal

To propose to his girlfriend Sara, and make the rest of us look really bad in the process, Sid Ceaser custom ordered a pair of Muppets designed to resemble the couple with which he put together a short film about their relationship to be screened during the previews at a movie theater the two “happened” to patronize.

The following movie trailer was shown on December 12th 2010 at 4pm at the Red River Theater in Concord NH.  Sara had no idea.

And yes, she accepted:

MOVITS!

Die MOVITS! aus Schweden rocken das Parkett!

Auch bei der BBC Radio 1 Session empfehlenswert:

Movits! flew over to the UK from Sweeden to take part in Rob Da Banks electro swing special live from maida vale studios

Movits! is a Swedish music group from Luleå. The group plays swing mixed with hip hop. Their debut album Äppelknyckarjazz, literally translated as Apple swiper jazz, was released in November 2008 and has been recognized by national Swedish newspaper Dagens Nyheter. In the United States the album Äppelknyckarjazz is released by Comedy Central Records.
The name Movits! alludes to Fader Movitz, a character in the Epistles of Fredman by Swedish 18th-century poet and composer Carl Michael Bellman. The band, however, replaced the last character of the name z with an s in order to avoid being associated with Swedish bands playing dansband style music, such as Lasse StefanzSvänzons or Larz-Kristerz.
On 27 July 2009, Movits! was featured on the American satirical news show The Colbert Report. The band was interviewed and performed their song "Fel del av gården".
Colbert mentioned on his show on 30 July 2009, that the band's album Äppelknyckarjazz recently had gained significant popularity on Amazon.com and claimed that their appearance on his program was significantly responsible for their newfound popularity (referred to as "The Colbert Bump").
The band is made up of brothers Johan Jivin' Rensfeldt (vocals), Anders Rensfeldt (multi-instrumentalist and DJ) and saxophonist Joakim Nilsson.
They have also recently finished five performances at the South by Southwest (SXSW) Showcase in Austin, Texas (from: Wikipedia).

Simply Lego!

Das Geld geht aus und unsere Gebäude und Straßen werden löchrig. Jetzt könnte man schreien und sich beschweren. Oder was Schönes draus machen. Bunt.
